 Pay now available in Singapore for American Express with selected initial merchants whilst VISA & MasterCard via DBS, POSB, OCBC, UOB & Standard Chartered support ‘coming soon’

American Express now, Visa ‘coming soon’.

Today, Apple has announced Apple Pay ( Pay) in Singapore with several merchants and banks supporting it.

Currently, only American Express (AMEX) cardholders supports Apple Pay in Singapore whilst VISA via the majority banks in Singapore such as DBS, UOB and Standard Chartered to be ‘coming soon’. Users can add in their credit and/or debit card details via the Settings app or through the Wallet app on the iPhone. Should the settings for it be missing, a simple restart or reboot should do the trick.

UPDATE (21st April 2016):
On Apple’s webpage for Apple Pay Singapore, they have included that Mastercard is also now supported, but however, it is being listed as ‘coming soon’ together with VISA. As such, that they have also added POSB as part of the lists of banks that will be supported as ‘coming soon’, together with DBS, UOB and Standard Chartered.

UPDATE: Apple has added support for OCBC Bank into list of Participating Banks.
