According to a report made by CNBC and interviews with workers onsite, it seems that a date of when the Apple Retail Store will open have been given.
May 22, according to a personnel at the site. When spoken, confirming the date twice. There were rumors earlier on this month by a user also claiming of a opening date in May.
White canvases has been placed and covered on the outside of Retail Store with the possiblity of removing the white material behind it which protects the glass while renovation works were ongoing. The white canvas would still help keep the element of surprise of what’s in the Retail Store.
On 30 March 2017, it was mentioned that trees have been placed on the outside and waiting to be shifted in. However, it may be that these trees could be placed on the outside permanently, instead of being inside the Retail Store.
If it is placed outside, it can help bring shade during sunset and could further enhance the Singapore’s concept of a Garden City.
With 1-2 more months to the rumored May 2017 date for opening, the interior works for the Apple Retail Store are intensifying. Trees are as part of the Retail Store’s interior, can be seen outside of the Retail Store which would likely be installed soon in the Retail Store.
The Retail Store’s interior should be similar with Apple’s flagship store in San Francisco, featuring Apple’s newest design for its Store.
According to a user in a forum, it suggests to Apple fans to wait and stay tuned for May 2017 for the opening of the Retail Store which the user had indicated from the various posts in a thread that discusses in the upcoming Apple Retail Store in Singapore.
There is however no official comment or statement made by Apple, thus you may want to take it lightly on the rumoured opening date.
