It is almost end of September and since our last post (Part 7) where all of the front glass has been installed, there hasn’t been a drastic change on the face of the Retail Store which suggests work should be focused on the insides of it during this period of time.

Face Mask On!

Since our Part 5 coverage, the Retail Store has taken another step in the progress. From our last coverage, only visible vertical glass structures were seen, and what it seems to be the backbones of the huge glass front to hold them in place.

The front white canvas of the Retail Store has been since removed which suggests the renovation works are largely on the installation of its front facing huge glass panels like other renowned Apple Retail Stores around the world.

Apple Retail Store: Making of 1st Apple Retail Store in Singapore @ Knightsbridge (Part 4)

Goodbye, White Canvas!

It’s now July 2016, about 9 months since (October 2015) news broke that Singapore will have her first Apple Retail Store and about 3 to 4 months since renovation works began for the Store.

In March, huge boards were covered and works began on the inside. The boards hasn’t been removed till recently where it has been replaced by a canvas sheet with holes, for ventilation. It seems there has been a slight extension out which is under an existing shelter, probably becoming part of the Retail Store.

The shelter, could be for Apple’s customers or fans be covered during queues for product launches and to not get exposed immediately to the rain or shine when they just walked out from the Retail Store.
